The Ice Reports Have Begun

Hey, folks. Just letting everyone know that the ice reports have begun. I may not get a chance to post them all here but I'll be trying my best to keep a schedule of edited reports from Sunday to Wednesday and a live report on Friday morning. Huge shout out to you Kokemachine! As an out of towner who gets excited like a little kid as it gets closer to Jan 1st, I love watching your reports. I can't wait!!!

I have purchased a couple new Minnow Clappers to add to the 2 I already have. Just got em in the mail yesterday!

For anyone wondering they have become a go to lure in my arsenal. I actually feel it is a confidence lure now when the bite dies off. If you like the reports consider puchasing some and support him. Its not a charity purchase - these suckers produce fish!

Definitely some ice forming on the lake. Satellite image from earlier today shows some ice building along the north shore just west of the city and some building at the west end, South Bay and Callander. -21 right now and forecast to stay that way all night. Wind is pretty light right now as well. Forecast for next 14 days looks promising as well with a bunch of cold nights.

I took some pics of the lake from the top of the hill.

Mostly iced over from what I could see, a few open spots on the south side but it's way farther ahead than last year.
