Ice Fishing Bar? Ever been one on Nip?

I see these licensed bars on lakes in the U.S. during ice season… pretty cool. Fishing, draft beer… sounds great.

Is there anything like that on/near Nipissing? Has there ever been? Would love to hear about it.

Have yet to hear of such a thing up here.

We've always said that if someone was to set up an on-ice pizza delivery service, they'd make a killing.

Booze is another matter. Would just be a focal point for police spot checks, I'm afraid.
Operator told us a couple years ago they keep a sled on shore, ready to go for the calls they already get.

FYI Toppers Pizza will deliver to the shore around North Bay and they didn't even sound surprised when we asked.

We relayed to Rob Hyatt once that it was kind of a thing for us to find a way to get pizza on the ice.
His response was "I can't even get them to deliver to my house!"

I'm sure they get enough calls closer to the city lol

We don't need people drinking while ice fishing.

If you're in a ice bungalow, you already bring "supplies" with you but a bar on the lake is meant for itinerant sledders and fisherman. You really want them drinking and driving?

Agreed. No need for yet another option to cause issues…

I think a Fish and Chips Bar would be great on Nip. Filet some of your catch, bring it to them and they deep fry it at charge and supply the fries.

Would make a killing imo.

Absolutely no booze tho.
