My son built a permy in the last couple weeks and we launched this Saturday. We didnt get fishing until the afternoon but it was steady action. He landed a small whitefish before I got there and we had schools move through all afternoon. We have to tweak the hut a bit but it worked great for a first outing. We ended ip with four whitefish and lost that many as well.
We went back out Sunday morning and landed a whitey and a laker about four pounds. Again we lost or missed three or four others. Great action!

Congrats on the new hut and successful day. I learned the hard way to keep it blocked and attend to it as much as possible. Spent half a day once chipping it out as it froze in after a thaw... not pleasant. It was an awesome hut finished nicely inside with shag bench seating and vinyl plank flooring. We had doors on both ends that we cut in half, on nice days we could open the top on the doors and watch the set lines. I wish I had pics of the inside. I ended up giving it to Taj... maybe he still has it???
