Does anyone have any information on Gull Lake whether Minors Bay is frozen yet or not?

I am hoping to go up there in the first couple of days of January. I have never been there, but I’ve always wanted to give it a try.

Also, if anyone is willing to PM me, I would like to know if there’s any suitable parking.

Thanks for all the help all.

New lake for me and my buddy. We made it out but the day was a grind for everyone we spoke to.

We ended with one Laker, released. One Walleye, released. One of the biggest Herring in have caught. It was 17.5” and had a super wide back. I couldn’t believe it pulled drag. Coming through the whole both me and my buddy first glance both thought Whitefish but right away realized it was a huge blue back Herring.

I wanted to add a photo from my iPhone but it says the file is too big. Hmmm

Cool herring catch. I haven't caught herring of that kind of size since Simcoe fishing days....same thing, thought they were small WF until a good look at their face/mouth gave them away. That lake you fished has some very large herring. May have to give it a try one day when longer fishing trips are possible so have more range.

Do a screen shot of your picture, then post the screenshot, it works.

They’re good eating at that size too. I’ve butterflied open those larger ones and grilled them. Or you can smoke them. Nice job Disco, multiple species is always good to see

The image is not very large at all, only 3.24 MB. I can upload it no probs.

Nice fish btw.

Maybe your iphone shrank it automatically when it prepared the email.

hmm? I don't have an iphone so don't know. Will need to research..

What a beast. I’ve had a few like that from that lake. Some real thick ones.
