Good day my friends.
What better way to work on the cardio than a couple of days on the ice.
I am very fortunate to have a young buddy to pull most of our stuff out to one of my fave honey holes.
Got out for a couple days of Laker fishing, the bite was slow ,we did mark a few fish ,but for the most part they were non commital.
I did manage a couple of decent Lakers 22 and 24 inch.
However the surprise of the day came this morning while fishing in 60 fow a fish hit my Nothland Buckshot tipped with a minnow. After a very decent fight,up popped a 22 inch Walleye.
Not the first time this has happened, but always a surprise.
Enjoy the pics ,Have a Crappie day!

even when you aren't targeting the walleyes, they come to you. Man, you gotta "hate" that eh? Nice going.

Working on the cardio and some fish lifting as well. Next will be a rack of crappie weights. Go get 'em Dale.

The eyes on that green trout look like the rock bass I catch in 60 feet. A good haul DB

Nice fish, can’t complain with some walleye!
One day we went out on that lake and fishing for lakers in 60-65fow, and we ended up with 8 walleye just shy of 18”. Only landed 4 trout that day between us. They definitely don’t like being pulled out that deep, that’s for sure. Guys get the walleye in 80+ fow there as well, I could only imagine the barotrauma they would get. Full of tiny smelts 1-2 inch.

I better do some fishing already….

As always Dale you never disappoint.....except for I am missing the Boston toque and Jersey......watched them play last night and hardly recognised anyone but the brand new team sure looked good against the Rangers. Time to get your kit back on. Tight lines Dale.
