It's always a good idea to share your sad stories and happy stories. There were some encouraging words of respect passed onto me last year, after posting a quick story about my dad's fishing escapades etc. Many, many great people on this Fishing Forum, with big hearts and kind thoughts. Some of us may never meet, but still be friends through written words. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

People who miss their fathers so much in death should take comfort in knowing they spent a lifetime with a wonderful father and we’re the lucky ones. I alway think of this when I know so many people who never had a father at all. We are the lucky ones who have the chance at heart break when we lose our wonderful fathers.
