New operator on the lake.. lake side ice condos. Only their 2nd year in operation, and Glean and Fazz are certainly headed in the right direction. All the comforts and service you would expect when you are 3km's from shore, and temps in the -30's!!! Cabin was new, insulated floor and sealed up very well.

And we were on the fish!!! In fact this was by far our most successful trip in 15yrs

We play a lil game where points are awarded for fish, 2 points for walleyes, 1 point for perch, 2 for ling, pike .... and minus points for mud puppy lol so thats how i know we recorded 121 fish over the 4 days.

89 walleye.... With 16 fish in the slot!
29perch
2 pike
1 Ling

We were catchin' on every thing we put down... Very soft bite, we were using minnows, LARGE minnows were the preference for sure, sometimes just the head.

Light terminal tackle, with 4 or 6lb floura carbon leaders. sometimes just a sm hook with sinker or a bit of flash 12 or 14 inches up like a williams with hooks removed.

Lures of choice, si flies simcoe bugs, jigs, jigs, jigs, and buckshot
colors, white, wonder bread, firetiger, pink/gold

Great outing. I like the point game, cool idea.

I still can’t figure out the daytime ling… did it come through the same spot as the eyes?

Always good to hear the fish are biting and the new operators are stepping up their game. Just curious if there was a lot of snow on the ice to drive out?
