Feb 20 on nip weather vs fish, Anglers haven

Hello everyone! Heading to anglers with my kids ( adults lol) for our first trip on nip together.
I see the feb fishing blues have hit. But it seems to be a bit milder this weekend. Will the - 3 to -8 temps improve our fishing chances ?
Just jigging buckshot and dead sticking minnows. So far.

Found the bite on Monday super light, might want to downsize and go slow during the day.Bite late was 4:30 as typical for Nip.
