Well member 1stdrift came down for a vertical jig today. We or I should say he was doing good, until the wind picked up and we never caught any more. Was a bit cold to start, but warmed up nicely but again the wind made it difficult to control the boat.

I thought it was just the walleye you have trained to crawl out of the water and onto the grass. Heard there was some out of the ordinary, big waves a few days ago. A boat went over in big waves, with four anglers in it. All rescued and doing fine.

crappeeman that was in the Detroit River, I didn't hear how it happened just that it happened. There are tug boats that go by and throw a super big wave, I have been there and you want to turn into the wave and you always take water over the bow.

Love making this yearly trip todo a day of fishing with Sabmgb. Always have a great time. The coho catch was definitely one to remember. It was so aggressive it was unreal. Swiped at my jig jigging bottom but missed it then I reeled up a bit hooked it but got off. As I was reeling up and when my jig came out of the water the coho started breaking the surface 3-4x just darting everywhere so fast it was craaaaazy trying to find my jig. I dropped the jig quick and on its way down smashed it. One of the coolest things iv experienced jigging.
