I don't see a whole lot of people looking at this generous offer from Bob.

His membership number is 98 and mine is 67, so we have both been here from the beginning,

I've had the pleasure of ice fishing with him several times when we had a number of "Meet and Greets".

He is a good guy--don't miss out on a good opportunity.

Hi Bob

Yes, still calling square dances, with my wife playing the fiddle and working to raise money for COPE Service Dogs.
We have our big fundraiser coming up on May 16th.

I will be putting up a post about it in the near future.

Once we get May 16th behind us, I can think about getting thr boat ready to do some fishing.

Probably my last year wiht the boat--I turned 84 last week.

Good luck with finding a partner.

I think the atmosphere on the Forum is different now than it was years ago. Back then, people were so interested and enthused about the Meets & Greet, yet Dave Vriesen couldn't get any real interest going this year.

x2 what Ralph said...

Bob is a great guy and a very knowledgable fantastic fisherman.

Fished with him quite a few times, on the ice, BOQ, river fishing.

I wish I could go, but things have changed here and I am basically grounded.

I actually tried to go out for steelhead this past weekend and instead had to go to the hospital again for my son. I was actually on the river and wife had to call the ambulance and I left the river in a hurry. I was some distance away and took me over 2 hrs to meet up with them in emergency. Was thinking maybe this softwater season I could get out a few times to fish, but after that incident, I think its best I forget about it for now...

So basically I am KO - until son is less reliant on the hosiptal.

I already promised Ralph another trip of Italy vs England and this being his last boating season, I will do that trip, and looking forward to it..

But anything else, seems to be a no go..

Cheers & happy fishing..

PS: Yes, Ralph and Bob, 2 very good original members.. But overall the vast majority of the active members from 10 years ago, have disappeared.. Some have passed away, some are still here, just not as active anymore and many have just moved on, maybe they dont fish anymore or moved to other areas (i know a few that have moved away from Southern Ontario).

Hi Jerry

Sorry to hear about Luca. The little guy is having a tough time. Hope things improve.

As relates to England vs Italy, don't feel that this a "have to". Lety's wait and see how things develop and if you want to do it and can make it work, so be it. We have lots of good memories of the previous matches and the "live from the lake" reports.

All the best.

Ralph

Bob, so nice to see your name pop up that sounds like a lot of fun wish I could say yes, take a maybe and I will reach out. Although Longshank is still waiting as well for that "hope too" call.
Jerry, so sorry to learn about your son, that would be a long 2 hour trip getting to the emergency. Hope all is better.
Ralph best of luck with COPE they can sure use your efforts. Say hi to Sandy and I wish we could get together again. My life has been taken over by pickleball and family. The wife has said if I don't use the boat more than 3 times this year we need to consider selling.
