Spring has finally sprung at my place down south (well south for me). Abitibi it is still winter and going ice fishing next week. Anyways my grandkids all live in town on tiny lots so anytime they want to stretch their legs (usually 2x a week) they come out to our place. Lots of room and a big trampoline and swing set. Spent the day going over the swing set i built 32 years ago for my own kids and repairing the winter damage to the trampoline. The posts that hold the netting on the trampoline are paper thin and were all folded over and bent after the winter. Reinforced them all with 1 inch schedule 40 black iron pipe that fits inside them so should be good now:

Looks like you have a natural propensity of injuring yourself.

Well I have joined you species for doing things to our hands we don't want too. I was getting boat ready for soft water today. Was washing last years dirt off and found a treble hook on the floor and picked it up and put on casting deck to throw out or put where it belonged. Kept forgetting it and started to was the deck. Well you can guess what happened, hook went through my wash mitt and into the side of my thumb. Had to get out of boat and find my side cutters. Cut the the hooks from the shaft to get mitt off my hand. than got pliers to push and pull the remaining hook till I saw a white spot forming half inch away. Got fillet knife and cut my skin so the point was showing. Pushed from cut end until point was out far enough to get pliers on and pulled out . Surprising how much more it hurts when going slow, didn't really hurt going in the first place

Misery does love company.?
I find I get injured more often when doing things now then when I was working full time in the trades. Nothing serious… just more cuts , burns and abrasions and and yes I have done both the hook in the hand and the drill bit mistake.

Beauty day today. Had 2 of my grandkids and a gaggle of Neigbor's kids over from 4 pm to 630 pm. They gave the trampoline and the swing set a workout.
