Pick a calm day from July to October and you will get into walleye from 20' and deeper out in the main lake. Lots of bass on any of the shoals around the port. The river from port up to the dam in town is full of cats right now. Troll up and down the river for walleye when the season opens---you'll have fun catching sheepshead while do that

At the mouth of the Grand, you can fish both sides. The pier on west side gets busy with fishermen on weekends . I haven’t been to the east side but seen people fish from shore slightly up stream but it’s limited space. People also fish from shore up by the dam in dunville off the boat club. Fishmasters boat launch is another option but they will probably make you pay to fish
