Quarry Island, Pike

Good day. I’ve never fished between Quarry island and Presant island, not asking for locations, but would that area be good for pike. Thank you

My guess is that in GB any weedy shallow area or spot could hold pikes. Whether or not the actual spot was fished out you have to check yourself.
Also in my experience, water levels significantly affect the pike presence. I heard that this year water is even lower than previous years. But I didn’t get out yet.

That’s a good stretch for big critters. Never fished pike in the spring in Severn, but you could do worse than fishing that general area.

FYI. About water levels.. Right now it is at least a foot higher than last year high. Since levels tend to peak in June or early July I think we can expect a few more inches. I track this every year to ensure boat can safely enter to our slip.

Thanks for the info. I checked it on the web, officially right now the water level is about 7 inches up compared to the same time last year. Of course it fluctuates depending on many factors.
I’m glad that I was wrong.
Still didn’t get a chance to go out.

I fish in there often and it is good for pike and smallmouth bass.
