Got into a couple walleye this past weekend up at the cottage, all caught in less than 20'. Saturday was much more productive, the high winds throughout the day had the lake churned up pretty good.

Landed this walleye (smallest of the 3 ~17") at 5:30am Saturday morning:

Nick's caught right off the dock:

My cousin's walleye suspended 20' over 45' vertical jigging a vibrato:

And of course, fried beer-battered walleye as part of Sunday lunch:

Wow! You guys had a great feast there. This weather is such a bonus, not to hot with some walleye waves. Glad to see you taking advantage of these perfect fishing conditions. My favourite four words...Right off the dock. Is that the same lake we talked about? The lake where you caught 2 walleye on the plastic bait from Japan?

Nice catch. Did you put that marker on shore so I can’t find your secret spot

Kept 1 and released the other 2, that pile of fish was all from 1 walleye. Definitely not too hot but we got our fair share of sun, that’s for sure. That’s the one, same lake we discussed before. I caught my walleye on the same Japanese soft plastic bait.

Had to move around for them! Some of our usual spots didn’t pan out. It seems like they’ve already dispersed across the lake. You probably know the spot!

Yep, I never find two together. They seem to travel solo.
