Wanted to post about my day trip from last weekend! The goal for the day was walleye for lunch and we got it! Launched from Wasaga around 10:30am, trolled shallow for about an hour, first got into some smaller pike, then some bass (out of season, I know, they all lived to swim another day!), then around 11:30am the wind really picks up and it feels like the temp drops a few degrees in a matter of minutes and next thing you know my girlfriend's asking to stop the boat cause she's snagged... so I turn around the boat and sure enough that snag starts pulling drag! A few minutes later we have ourselves a nice walleye in the boat! 24inches, didn't get a weight but it had an ok belly. We trolled until about 12:30pm with no more notable action, wind stayed consistent, got too cold for us and we called it a day.
Looking to get out again Saturday or Sunday, hoping the wind dies down or it'll be a bumpy day for me haha. Will post another report after.

Congrats! You've done something I've been trying to do for 4 years... catch a Georgian Bay Walleye. I'm in the Honey Harbour / Beausoleil Island area. They seem to scatter when I'm coming. Been told of a few 'hot spots, been on wild goose chases....nada. I'm no quitter, but I'm thinking it....lol. Maybe I should try to for 'crappie'...lol.
It's nice to hear of people catching those 'elusive great tasting critters'... haha.
