First salmon in the boat after 4 years of lakers! What a great surprise this was. Can anyone tell me what kind of salmon they are please and thanks. Much stronger fight than the lakers caught…guess every fish is different.

I would agree. Kings/Chinook have black inside their mouth and Rainbows/Steelhead are white. There are other differences as well. (# of rays on anal fin, blackish edging on adipose etc.) Rainbows will also have a squarer tail compared to chinnies.
