Muskoka River Walleye

So after 5 years away from Muskoka, I'm back for good. We used to live at Kahshe lake and most of my Muskoka fishing was spent on Kahshe, Bass and Sparrow. Now we're in Bracebridge and I am about to go for some walleye in the Muskoka river tomorrow. I've never been great with walleye. A few through the ice here and there but never able to target them well. Looking for any advice. I know the waters well enough as I moved here last July and spent a lot of time exploring Lake Muskoka and the river in the boat. Planning on being in the boat before sunrise.
Could put in at George road launch or downtown by the falls.

Any tips or advice will be appreciated. Not looking for your spots!

I took the little guy there for a couple hours yesterday and got nuthin

He now says that the green boat is no good, we didn’t catch anything, and the brown boat is better because of all the fish we caught when we were in that one

I fish the river allong with a. Couple friends and the bite has been pretty good even from shore. Funny enough I have been catching more from shore than when I take out my boat. A lot of small walleye and the odd larger one.

Forgot I posted this! haha. I got skunked. a few bites but couldn't hook them. been out two or three times in the boat since and fished from shore downtown Bracebridge a few times. Nothing but a few rock bass. I'm on the water every weekend and having a rough go at it this year. Though I have found some promising weed lines to come back to. My favorite spots from last summer haven't produced yet either but I moved here almost exactly this time last year so maybe they will start producing this month.
