My instincts and the farmer's almanac are telling me we are likely in for warmer winter with a few cold blasts and snow. I'm thinking the ice will be late this year.
I usually fish solo and have physical limitations and no machine for the snow so hauling gear and setting up my own hut etc. is not really an option. I'm lucky I am usually able to make 3 bungalow trips to Nip a year (solo mid-week is a lot cheaper!). I'm experimenting with different providers.
This year I'm worried my January bungalow trip is at risk so I thought I'd make an adventure out of it. I'm thinking just for fun I may try up in Cochrane or Timmins area where they are likely to have colder temps early.
I'm really struggling to find any bungalow providers north of Temagami. I'm looking primarliy for walleye. I have found some operators, some are just too $$$ and there are a couple of outfitters I havent heard back from yet.
I am specifically looking for bungalows and not day huts/cottage or lodge. I need transportation to and from the hut. I'd say within an 8 hour drive and I'm just north of Toronto.
Does anybody have any recommendations for operators north of Temagami?

Once past Temagami overnight bungalows set up by outfitters for rent are exceedingly rare. They just don't have the market for it as it too far from the GTA and all the locals have their own shacks. You would have to go all the way to Lake of the Woods where they have some as they can tap the American market.
