I knew it was going to be a good day. I didn't think it would be THIS good.
2 × 30"
8 × 29"+
7 x 28" +
Giant after giant after giant.
Full breakdown of exactly how it happened is out on YouTube, link to video below.

Whoa, you certainly have those big ones dialed in!! I do catch my fair share of walleye, but unfortunately don’t have the electronics you have on your rig.
I find it pretty awesome the way you can locate them and then cast to them. Much more fun than trolling or just vertical jigging.
Cool vid,and congrats on some beautiful fish!

Thanks! The electronics definitely help, especially on the Great Lakes where 90% of the water is devoid of walleye at any given time. But they’re only one piece of the puzzle. A lot of the time it’s still about understanding seasonal movements, structure, and fish behaviour. I agree, casting to fish is hard to beat. I never troll because I can’t just sit and wait, I need to be constantly moving, searching, and casting. Watching fish react, getting them to commit, and then setting the hook is what keeps it fun for me! Appreciate you watching!
