Got out for 1st trip on lake erie yesterday. Water was perfect not glass flat but not rough either. Tried first spot which I normally fish this time of year. Picked up 1 about 15min in, than spent 2hrs going over that area with no luck. Packed up moved to area where normally get them later in season. Buddy didn't even get his rod in holder and got a nice walleye. We continued on and ended up on that pass with 4. Turned around and retraced our route and got nothing. Turned back and did route again another 4 and lost a good one just short of boat. This time we packed up and motored back to where we started this route, picked up another. Buddy had to leave at 1pm so at 1250 I started to pull one line in to get ready to leave, just got it to boat and other rod goes off another nice fish, so we end with 11 walleye and had lots of good hits. 8 of the fish were in the 20 to 21" range and 3 were 17 to 18". All in all a great day on the water. Talked to some others back at ramp and a couple got skunked, so we did really good.

Nicely done.

I always find it interesting how direction can affect the bite, presumably related to effective water speed at the lure...?

Great box of fish.

It’s incredible what direction and tiny changes in speed do.
