My wife finally wanted to go down rigging for the first time ever.
Saturday was forecast to be a beautiful day so my wife, my son and I headed out for Lake Ontario in the afternoon.
We launched out of lakefront promenade Park.
Starting in 50 feet of water we didn’t even go five minutes and I only managed to get the second rod in when we hooked up on the second rod. My wife got to land a chunky little Atlantic salmon. Figures her first fish on the lake ever is the unicorn.
We managed to go five or six on the day.
My wife got to land a small king. My son got to land a rainbow in a king and I got a small king myself.
Most of our fish were in shallow 50 to 70 feet of water down 33 to 43 feet.
We did pick up a couple of shakers at between 110 and 150’60 feet down and two surface bites on planer boards.
