Had to do some grass cutting and trim some trees. Had a surprise when the turkeys came to say hello. By the time I ran and got the camera, they were in the farmers field. Too bad turkey season is over. Sorry for the bad picture.

Went down to the lake just before dark to fish with my friend. He was tired and didn't feel like fishing, so I fished by myself on his dock. No fish worth talking about from 8pm until 2am. Cast after cast, a few rock bass and three walleye released, maybe 16 inches. Crappie showed up after 2am...Small crappie, medium crappie and big crappie. All the fish were caught on the Electric Chiken Joker, and crankbaits. Released everything under eleven inches. This one was only 10.5 inches, so back in the lake it went until next year.

Kept a few of these bigger crappie. I thought some of them were SMB because they put up a good fight. Very cool when a crappie is big enough to drag out some line.

This one is the same as the biggest crappie. Just love how the colours show up in the white bucket. Mosquitoes were bad at first, there was supposed to be a 16kph breeze after dark... Nope. Fished until around 4am, then packed it in for some sleep.

Hey Crappeeeman, so no fish from 8:00 p.m. till 2:00 a.m., 6 hrs, nada and you kept fishing? Dedication, stubborn, not sure which...
Whatever comes to mind, you have more of it than I do....lol.
btw, nice crappie pics.
Cheers,
Thank you Fozzy. Yes it was very slow for about six hours. One of the three walleye was around midnight. The rock bass kept me from giving up. In the boat last week we could move around. At my friends dock, it's a fingers crossed waiting game. The fish will be there, the question is always...What time will they show up? The anticipation doubles in the dark, every time you get a hit. The big crappie or walleye are worth the wait.

90% of my fishing is on two lakes. Which lake would I choose to fish exclusively? 90% of the fish I catch are on two baits. Which bait would I choose to use exclusively? Curious to see what you would choose for these questions?

Weĺl that's a tough one but I would probably go with a watermelon green pumpkin senko I've caught everything except trout with them and I would pick a lake that has multi species in it walleye bads and pike

I couldn't be as successful without this one bait, in the Kawartha Lakes. It's two colours but it catches 60% of all my walleye, crappie, bass etc. The other 40% are caught with crankbaits, a few jerkbaits and other plastics.
