I am not familiar with the Wiarton area, but we are taking my grandson camping in SaubleFalls PP. I will not be taking the boat or kayak but rather doing hiking, beach and he has asked to go fishing. We do have planned to go into Wiarton to show him Willie and walk around the park. Do any of you know a spot that I could take him fishing from shore or off a dock with his little ultralite rod, hook, bobber and I'll grab him some worms? I've been online and see they have a marina but I don't want to go somewhere we wouldn't be welcomed. I appreciate your thoughts, Thank you.

You can take your grandson fishing off of the pier at the public boat launch. " Bluewater park" We were just there and there are pan fish and smallmouth bass. If you are staying at Sauble falls provincial park you can also go fishing in the Sauble river. There is a free boat launch with floating docks out towards the mouth of the river for fishing. We were there 2 nights ago and got a nice large mouth bass off of that dock
