We tried for our first night fish for an hour after work by the light courtesy of the 401. It was a beautiful night and was still 8° at 5pm. The river has risen and is flowing quite fast and also has muddied up. A few cars at the community pool but no one where we were. It can be difficult to see the bobber at times so we may get little glow sticks or something so we can see them better. No bites though but we did have a little excitement at the end. Glenn was holding a little flashlight while I was fishing the beach where Jerry caught his friendly brown twice. I wasn't sure where my line was but all of a sudden I see this big wake coming toward me. Maybe it was attracted to the light but a big fish just swam right by us! I thought I might have hooked it but it was swimming on it's own and my line was no where near it. I was so excited, I almost jumped in the water to get it since it was shallow there but then lost track of where it went. We may try again on Wednesday if it is nice out but by the looks of it, the fish are moving in. Tomorrows rain should help even more.

Sounds like you had a great time... LOL.. Yes, the fish will definitely move up river in the dark and that's good news for fishing, with fresh fish coming up the river the action should be good this week.
I have used those glow sticks for night fishing, but I also have a bobber that has a little red led light in it, it runs on special little batteries, and it lasts a long time..
