Hello everyone,
I'm an avid bluegill hunter and I'm asking for your help. Do to the lack of posts and information within my searches... are there any good bluegill lakes, spots and or ponds to ice fish gills?
I'm from the southern most part of Ontario and with Mitchells Bay (lake st clair)as my backdoor playground, I'm sad to report that once again the warm stuff has ruined any oportunity to get on the back bays for gills. The water level has dropped due to the ice jam in the st clair river and the run off from all the inches of rain has turned our lake in to chocolate milk! I seriously fear the worst ... no ice fishing for the second year in a row!

Hey garageguys
Long way from you but there is also Lower Chemong Lake near Bridgenorth Ont. Free parking near the Causeway and people fish for Blue Gills, Perch and Crappies.....all that is allowed to be kept on Kawartha Lakes. Big rush getting a Muskie on your line but of course you can't keep them. Lots of huts out a little further South towards Fowler's Corner Ont. Lots of ice there and cars are driving from the Indian Reserve at Curve Lake to Timmies in Bridgenorth to get a coffee. LOL.
Just one major precaution....You can't fish within 300 meters of the Causeway because it is a Fish Sanctuary. Friendly little town with people willing to give information freely.
