Any updates on the conditions of Guelph lake.

I am moving there in a few weeks and would love to know of some spots to hit up for some easy saturday/sunday fishing

Fish species in Guelph Lake:
Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Pike, Panfish

I think the winter fishery is mainly for pike & crappie.

Went out on the large side of Guelph Lake this past Saturday (Feb. 2) Lots of people out despite the cold windy conditions. Got about 6 inches of hard ice. Water level definitely came up with all the recent rain so lots of cracks running through the ice. Slushy along the shore line, boot went through about 4 inches. Be careful out there.

P.S. No Rainbows out there, don't know how that rumor started.
