Many pleasure craft insurance policies contain the requirement that the boat be in storage from the end of December until the end of the following March. Anyone planning to launch a boat should check their policy carefully.

On average through statefarm for example how much is boat Insurance for the year ? Anyone have an idea how much on a 2012 14 foot with a 20hp on the back ? Good drivers record too.

Although I have marine insurance on my Searay the 16 foot alum. with a 40 hp is under my house insurance with a rider for value.

Kind of depends on value of your boat / motor and trailer plus gear on board.

I'm not with statefarm, but I have 2 boats on separate insurance and they must be laid up for specific time period and one similar to yours under my house policy.
