Ladies And gentlemen. I have been a member of this board since 2011. There are many more members than just myself. I see that some of the postings have been read 100's of times but vey few replies. Some of our members attempt to stimulate friendly conversation, this is a great board. Is there anything any of us can so to increase the replies ? Maybe I'm just fishing for a solution. Since we have no ice, or very little, lets try to set this board on fire. Most of the postings are extremely helpful and comical at times. Cheers.... Looking forward to your replies and postings...

Well seeing how you are looking for a response, I'll take the time. You may not like my response, but that's life. Some people read the posts and if they have something useful to add, they will. Others may read and if they don't have anything useful to say, they don't waste space and babble for nothing, or in other words, they may have more pressing matters in their respective lives. Why try to "set the board on fire" when ice fishing is pretty much not happening right now. The most I see of is "how much ice is there" when there's umpteen reports of there being very little to unsafe ice at best. Asking the question that often doesn't make more ice. Posting similar subjects does the same thing for me, it irritates the hell out of me. One such subject in particular is safety. Doesn't matter how often you post it, you can't beat common sense into people, either they get it the first time from reading to seeing the news or they are oblivious. That's my response.

You did get a reply. Hopefully the lake will freeze up and this guy can get out on the ice and calm down
Frozen H20 asked for a response, I replied, gave an honest answer. What did we get back from you but babble. Bite me, I'm quite calm, going fishing tomorrow further north.

There is and always has been a very low ratio in response to "read" posts...
It varies but can go as high as 150 views per reply.
Doesn't bother me in the least.
Myself, I try and say ..way to go on each fishing post, but when the board gets heavy use, it becomes redundant.
Frankly, bringing up pics form years past or frightening tales of ice conditions does nothing for me either.
it is what it is.we either have ice or we don't. In the end I will always make my own choices when/where to go out. I don't call people crazy if they do.....but I do give them a heads up in an area of a lake I am familiar with. I have zero comments on lake areas I am not on or have been.
Since you brought this up, I can guarantee you that a number of people went out today and returned safely. ice does not disappear in a day, just like it does not form either.
Doesn't mean your posts are not appreciated, but I would prefer first hand ice reports...meaning you were actually there.
Sort of like all the questions about ice thickness, but instead of reading the board...just want an immediate quick fix. this gets old very quickly. same goes for limits ,licenses and all esle that any angler should know or be able to check for themsevles in my opinion.
