Hi Folks:

My new fish hut is the same as the one Laker Fisherman bought only it is blue and apparently it is 700 denier.

When I finally decided to buy the 6 man/person Clam Command Post ice hut I was willing to pay $399.99 for the unit but luck was on my side the day I went to buy it and there was one unit with a damaged box and it was reduced to $194.95 so of course I bought it - I saved over $200.00 and I didn't have to cut up the box to put it in the blue bin. Naturally, I asked if there were anymore for sale at $194.95

I will try out a fan in the hut once we have a chance to try it out on the ice and hopefully I will be able to set it up in the driveway this week to check it out.

That's all for now, Nancy

Hi Laker Fisherman:

I know I got a great deal. I had checked out the various ice huts at BPS, Costco.ca and Canadian Tire in Newmarket. I was visiting relatives in North Bay and decided to finally buy an ice hut. I checked out what they had in stock at the North Bay Canadian Tire store early last week and when I returned several days later the model I had decided to buy had been reduced. I basically loaded the hut in a shopping cart, paid for it and loaded it in my vehicle before they changed the price. Then I returned to the store to buy a few other items on my shopping list.

I realize I found a real bargain - I have been sitting on the fence about a pop up ice hut for more than a year and I finally decided this would be the year I added one to all the other "stuff" stored in the garage.

OK, to add insult to injury - when I returned to the store after loading the ice hut in my vehicle I checked out a few other items in the clearance area in the North Bay Canadian Tire store. I also found 2 - full coverage blue toothed equipped, visor helmets with adjustable air vents on sale for $50.00 each regular $250.00 each (they needed some minor repair to the blue tooth feature which my husband was able to repair in less than 5 minutes on both helmets) which will look great with our new Yamaha ATV Santa left under the tree.

Trust me, I will be visiting the N.Bay Canadian Tire store when ever I am in the area in the future - and no I am not a regular C.T. shopper.

Now if Mother Nature will co-operate and freeze the lake in the near future I will finally be able to try out all our new toys.

That's all for now, Nancy

Hey Laker Fisherman:

Fist of all - don't get me wrong I like shoes, however, I quickly realized trying to drive an ATV on a frozen lake with open toed 4 inch heeled shoes was a bit chilly and trying to walk on ice or snow in the same footware was a more than a bit difficult. So I quickly discovered Kamik's (knee high, army green, rubber boots with thick felt liners) which maybe not be fashionable but generally speaking they keep my feet warm and dry.

Yes, I have a single sister, recently divorced for the second time!!! Not sure if there is a man alive brave enough to pursue her.

That's all for now, Nancy

Yeah Vampire With Freckles I found it tough walking in high heels too. LOL.
I am old school though, so I stick to my Mickey Mouse Boots I got on Ebay for 35 Bucks.....Only Boots I know that you can dump the ice water out of them and take your wet socks off....Put your feet back in them and 5 minutes later your feet are warm again.

Sorry for your sister's bad luck on her second divorce....I only had the one and that was enough. LOL.
When your sister finds the right guy she will be a purring kitten not a roaring tiger. LOL.
Some men are from Mars and willing to try anything once.
Like going ice fishing after a warm spell and it's raining with plus 13 degree temperatures. Rocket Scientists for sure. LOL.
