I spoke to my friend, and he said there is still between 4 and 6 inches around the huts... I did not check this myself, but I do trust the person who told me...

In that case (there is still between 4 and 6 inches around the huts), and with the weather the rest of this week, it looks like by the coming weekend, we are back to PB. AGAIN! I can't wait no more!;-) Anyone else? And Jerry?

Cool. I should not have to work this coming Saturday (or Sunday) unless there is some urgent issue at work that I have to take care (I mean whatever software issue with our customers' VLT/slot machine video lottery system say the system in Saskatchewan;-)

So ice condition permitting, I more than likely shall be heading to Port Bolster this coming Saturday;-)

Hi Craig, Sounds great. Let's see what the weather has to offer for the ice before this Saturday, then. Again, weather/ice condition permitting, I will on Saturday step and march into Casey's early in the morning (say right after 7:00AM), and have coffee and breakfast there, and wait for/join you guys:-)

Sounds good James, the weather looks great light flurries and only 5 k winds. Hope the forecast holds. We should have some good ice over the perch grounds with the temps this week since it seems there is still some ice there to build on. I am coming up from Port Credit and if its a go will be there by 7am also. Am keeping an ear out for the ice reports.

Geez Kendt, sounds like you have already spent more time on the ice this year than I did ALL of last year. And you think your Jonesin!

YES! Craig lets try to get out there this Saturday (weather & conditions permitting)...
Before James catches all the perch in Simcoe.

He's making me hungry with all those fillet and deep fried perch pics!

Hey Jerry, believe it or not I have never eaten perch. In the East Coast we always considered them nuisence fish who would steal our worms while trout fishing. I never even considered eating perch nor did I hear of others going so until I moved to Ont. I will however keep a couple to try if I am lucky enough to catch some of good size. Stoll Looking forward to breaking our curse.
