O ya! I forgot about the curse! We can't skunk on the perch grounds. That's impossible, anywhere you drill a hole on Simcoe there are peeeerch. LOL.

Come to my house after and we'll fry them up for dinner... Tasty little buggers..
I actually like the 9-10" ones best..

Thanks for the offer Jerry, will have to play it by ear. As long as we have a good time on the ice and I get some time using my new flasher is all I want. A feed of perch would be a bonus

Hey Jake, welcome to the board. if you go to Casey's and get your minnows they also have a selection of perch jigs that work well. As for location just look for the pop up city on the ice. Almost forgot, check for ice conditions before heading up. I am sure there will be lots of reports closer to the weekend, maybe will see you out there.

jakemonk94, all I do to catch perch is drill 2 holes about 5 ft apart. Put a minnow about a foot of bottom in one hole and jig a small spoon in the other.

Sounds good Mark, keep us in the loop.

Hey aldo,

Looking for the same answer. I will make a few calls today too see how it is for this weekend. Overnight forecast is dipping down . I'm sure most of the rivers should be prime for this weekend !!!

So it seems the consensus is that the ice won't be ready till Saturday. Was hoping for Thursday. Guess I will just watch this thread and hope for some nice cold nights.
