Hi Everybody
I just joined this Forum and I am enjoying the tons of information and great pictures. Thought I would pass on a Great Deal to fellow Fisherpersons. I just bought a 6 Man Equinox The Fisherman Inn Getaway Pop Up Shelter and I am very impressed with it Very user friendly and it is an excellent price compared to other 6 Man Shelters. Has the 600 Denier material and sells for 300 Bucks at Walmart or Costco. Now I just have to wait for enough ice so I can check it out in real life. Looks good in the garage though. LOL.

Welcome aboard Laker Fisherman, thanks for the update on the deal for the 6 man shelter. Hope you get many hours of enjoyment out of your new shelter and hope to see some reports and pictures once you put this shelter to use.

Thank You ThorahGuy for the Welcome and Tip. From what I have read in the short time I have been here I wish I had found this Site years ago. I have been in other Forums but they don't come close to this one by far.

Thanks ThorahGuy for Posting my picture it is appreciated.
Tonyjohn I haven't put it up on the ice yet but it can be put up easily by one person...Even if you have more then yourself you have to put it up by pulling the roof up first and then pop out one side at a time in sequence around the Hut. I put my foot on the skirt and hold the edge of the roof and then pop out the side and if I was on the Ice I would put one anchor in the inside of the hut that is facing the wind before putting it totally up. Without putting in the ice anchors it takes about 2 minutes or less to open it. With a portable drill pre-drilling your anchor holes in the ice it would take less then 5 minutes to install all the anchors.

Thanks dodgeman6497 I hope I do too...I hate being crowded and love the space it has and probably would only be fishing with 3 other people at the most anyway. I figure if pick your days and nights I hope to camp out in it on the ice. I know it will have restrictions on not being able to fish on really windy days but who wants to be out there in those conditions anyway.

I have a Clam Command Post and love it. Its great for two people and you have some room to move around. I broke a post once trying to set it up on a real windy day. My advise would be if you try to pull on a wall and it doesn`t come easy just move on to an other and don`t force it. Spreading it out and going for one of the roof sections first helps. I`m on my third year with mine and it is in great shape with little wear if any to the hut but the bag is crappy and started ripping right away.

Wow! It looks huge. Careful though. The township of Georgina might start charging you property tax on that. You know cause they are so fisherman friendly.
