Its too cold, and windy out in PB. I'm in agreement with many ppl thinking that they should wait at least another week for safer ice conditions and more comfortable weather to return. The large groups of our American friends are even more at risk due to the denisty and size of their parties. God forbid one of their scouts spot you catching a perch or two as their onslaught will place you in grave danger! Couple that with the few poor fishing reports it would be in everyones best interest to stay away from this area, especially tomorrow! Steelhead

Cool! Well if i get a call from caseys telling me they cancelled the rentals again for this weekend then i know the ice is not safe in bolster. But there a bunch of board members with great knowledge and locals reporting 6 to 7 inches on the perch grounds. Thats what ive gathered from other post! I dunno if ur joking around or what! But as far as i know its safe unless told other wise from a long term board member says so. But thanks for ur concern and im aware of the dangers and risk im taking but im sure caseys will not put any1 at risk on umsafe ice! Cheers!

I completely agree. As eager as I am to auger some holes and start the season. I will be waiting until late next week before I venture out. Use your good judgment and be safe.

I would like to say that Taj and Jeff will not put anyone in harms way. If you contact Caseys and get a report from them it will be accurate and always on the safe side. But as always play safe. I will not be going to my fishing area, which is about 3 miles out from Blackbird Point. LOL.

I will too burn a vacation day and go out on BP tomorrow. I usually play it safe and have seen reports that there are 6-7 inches of good ice. Not all black ice. I'll keep you all updated on the ice tomorrow. The awesome technology we have today!

If your unsure of the ice on Simcoe you could tag along with me to Lake Bernard this weekend, leaving early Sat, returning Sun (room booked for the night) Lots of ice up there

Wow, I guess I should of added some smilies to my initial post! I was joking ppl! I thought it was quite transparent but I guess with the changing conditions and rescue talk everyone is a bit on edge. Enjoy yourselves and catch many. I will be out tomorrow and if I manage to catch dinner I will add a real report. Cheers!

Nice one. Not to make light of questionable ice conditions but I read the initial post and laughed. Thought it read very tongue in cheek. Your right though steelheader, Smilies do help.
