If you can toss a lit stick of dynamite under their chair, they might be too close.
This summer while I was perch fishing, some bozo kept trolling beside me, and I do mean beside me. I literally could've stepped into his boat without jumping.

i agree with the 50 yard length but even if you have hut it doesnt keep them from cutting in last year we had a guy cut holes next to my hut to use as a win break and sat on his sled thinking everything was ok ###### me off wanted to ask if he wanted me to leave the door open so he could use my holes

For me........I think a minimum of 50ft for Perch is acceptable. Everyone would like as much separation as possible, but sometimes conditions don't permit 150ft distances........such as this weekend.
Going to be like a bee's nest out there tomorrow.......pushing, shoving, and buzzing with frustration.

Try throwing a jigging rappala down your hole on an extra rod with some old line on it, give it a couple of good tugs and you should pretty well have everyones lines tangled together. Cut yours free and the rest of the mess should keep those that decided to fish right next to you busy for awhile.

I take a big mouthful of coffee, walk over to the guy and start fake barffing all over the ice. Then I say that I have a bad case of the flu and ask him if he has anything to settle my stomach. He can't move fast enough. Works every time.
