Fished with Shawn at Bear Creek Monday - Tuesday of this week. Fishing was great and no worries about the ice there. Our group caught perch and walleye with most of the bite in the morning and evening. However, if you kept jigging throughout the day we'd get periods of intense action. Bite was super light and most hit the jig on the way down so be gentle and aware. Chartreuse pimple small in size seemed to be the most consistent producer of strikes but gold brought a few in as well. All tipped with a minnow hooked dorsal. But again if you are not paying attention to your line then your success rates may fall. We had to work for our fish. Lol. We had a visit from the boys in blue as well so make sure your %beverages are hidden and out of sight, and of course have your fishing license on you and stick to the limits and slot. Best of luck guys and a big thanks to Shawn and Bear Creek staff. One of the best on Nipp. 100%. Cheers

if it's in your hut they have no say if it's outside your hut then he can ticket you. so no need to hide it.smoke your bud outside and drink inside play safe.

if it's in your hut they have no say

If you're in an overnight hut/bungalow (ie cooking facilities and sleeping facilities), you can drink. Drinking in a day hut you can and probably will be cited.

i can understand on a boat not being able to posses beer but in a fishing hut i really dont see the problem just a few guys out on the ice catching fish an trying to catcvh a buzz on their day off. At least theyre not running around smoking crack and causing crimes whats this world coming to when a grown man is told he cant drink beer while fishing mind you he is not operating a motor vehicle either, it almost sounds illegal
