If your going to deep fry I prefer club house beer batter. You just have to get the right viscosity and have the oil at the right termp. and it comes out restaurant quality, or better! Deep fry some onion rings and mushrooms with it and make up some slaw....droool! Add some baked BUSH brown beans with a little barbecue sauce and maple syrop. A well rounded meal! A friend of mine gets this stuff called Drakes from the states which is very good as well! I use to love fish crisp and will still use it as a dredge but for deep frying batter....pass. That stuff from bass pro is ghastly stuff but I can see using a bit of it mixed with something else would work well as someone else mentioned. Just too many seasonings in it. You can't really go wrong though, can you! Steelhead

Fried I use the Fish Crisp with one Canadian Beer mixed in . I don't use the entire bottle take 2 nice swigs before mixing to warm up the throat...
Oven - I do the same for White Fish , Perch and Walleye.
Olive oil , Salt pepper , Pepper , Cherry Tomatoes cut up into half. Don't be shy put extra. This is what makes the Dish. add some fresh Italian Herbs seasoning mixed into the pan on the stove for ten minutes until oven is pre heated.
Put your chunks of Boneless Walleye fillets , White fish , Perch Etc into pan to set in the oven ! Every few minutes I usually scoop up the mix and poor over fillets for extra flavour.
Take out and enjoy all to your self !!! lolll Don't forget to mix in a cherry tomato in every bite .......Packs a punch of flavour .
Most importantly crack open a nice bottle of red wine Napa Valley wine (2007) , My Number one fish dish for the ladies as well ....

I've had that Cronzy type before, not sure what flavour. It was awesome. I really like the Cajun fish crisp as well. It's not as greasy as the beer batter, good for a change up. Don't get me wrong I like the beer batter too. On occasion we have even fried up the fish, let it sit for a few minutes, batter it again, and then fry a second time! Deadly.
