The Jan 18 satellite image shows the lake completely frozen over.
The ice probably took a good beating today, and will take even more beating tomorrow, but it's almost there.

Depends what time it was cause I checked the lake from Gilford to bear point and there was a skim covering the lake yesterday.

I tossed a big rock threw the ice at bear point and the ice was maybe a 1/4".

I would judge yesterday's Satellite shot(s) as inconclusive. (Note that the resolution is 250 m.)

100% sure it's ice
On the pic you can see some open water around lefroy, then a stretch of it around island grove and some more around jacksons point.

The resolution is crappy, but it's ice.

We're probably only having a discussion about semantics. It does seem that we can agree that the lake is probably not "completely frozen over". I'm sure we can also agree that it should not be long if the forecast holds.

Hey Laz... Just don't want people to get the wrong idea and venture out, Just checked with steves huts and words were "Bring your boat" past the perch grounds. (bye the way said perch we re great) Don't mean to argue with sats but we did see a lot of open water yesterday....

Just be careful out there...

Just talked with a good bud that owns the pines in Oro on the 7th line and he said that the wind yesterday had made it wide open not looking good in Oro.
