Hey Guys.

So I went back to PB knowing that I would be hard pressed to top my last outing.

We set up in 23 ft of water at 730 am lines were in the water. Water was murkey and sight fishing was not an option. Regardless we set up and stayed put. Fishing was good from 730-1030ish and then died off. Came back a bit and then nothing. We were on close to 9" of good ice.

We decided to move in closer to 21 ft. a previously marked GPS location. More ice.

Schools of Herring were around. One actually swam up to my hole and sucked up a minnow from inch's below the hole. Was cool to see. Again, water was murky.

On the way back all the snow was gone and took some cool looking shot's of cracks that were open during the warm spell.

Winds were pretty good today.... All in all a good day on the lake and next week, starting tomorrow looks very promising for deep water fishing.

My wife and i were out. 21fow straight out from the ice access ramp. We got on the ice about11;30. the fishin was terrible. I think in four hours we only iced two small perch. Lots of fish on the huminbird and lots of small pecks and nibbles. Just very finicky. We tried all shapes and sizes of baits with no luck.Didnt even get any cisco,s. Can usually count on them to keep us entertained between perch but nothing. Had a school of something suspended at 12 fow for a while but even they could not be enticed to bite.

You missed them. Early fishing was good.

Minnow's and my spoon were the only thing they wanted.

I tried a lot... I mean a lot of my perch arsenal....

They were herring suspended...Water quality was not great but some stole minnow's from my hole.

CTV news at 6.... Police "Ice is not SAFE".....

They will never say it is safe.
