Great pics! How was the ice holding up as it warmed up later in the afternoon? And as a newbie to PB, where is my best bet for parking?

Thanks for sharing those great pictures of your day on the ice.
Looks like you all certainly had a good day to be out there fishing.

By the way, early in the morning and the moment we walked onto ice, we "lost" ThorahGuy and nocod!:-) You two must have caught lots of jumbo perch from your secret honey holes, or what?:-)

Nothing could be further from the truth. Let's just say that we did much less well than the rest of you and leave it at that. I did want to try and reconnect with you guys but it just didn't work out.

We got up to Caseys by 7:15 and noticed tones of people already there and heading out to the ice. It was still dark at that time. Picked up the 1/2 price minnows from Taj and then headed out on the ice once it got a little brighter. We have never really fished at PB before so were following the ones with the GPS's to their favourite spot off a hump. Nocod and ThorahGuy headed out before us but decided to not walk too far out which is understandable.

The first spot we picked was on really rough ice and it took quite a while to clear all the slush under the ice to get the lures thru. Those with transducers had a really hard time and had to lower the unit way down to get past the slush. Jerry had the first fish on. Yeah!! We thought this was good sign but in the hour we were there out in the open, I think only 5 or so dinky perch were caught so we decided to pack up and head elsewhere.
