Was at vb today. Crazy and scary wind. Shoreline ice is still sketchy. Here's proof.

QUOTE (sniperlee @ January 20, 2013 - 03:17 pm)
10am

Are you serious, parking on the Ice? There was running water draining into the lake under the ice at PB yesterday. Even will all the people that went out with sleds and atv's. nobody parked their rigs on the ice

seriously
when people are consistantly telling you to check the ice thickness for them selves
you would think they wouldn t drive to the location they want to check
i mean what was the most ice that vb has had this year max so far
and to drive a full size pickup and trailor on to it after the mild spell we just had
come on think just a littlebit

I bet the recovery price tag would've covered the $30 parking tickets for a few years.

I'm almost wondering if you broke the ice on the passenger side and a path to shore, could he drive out? Looks like he is not over the bottom of the doors if the truck was level.

I'd have stuck around for the owners return. I imagine that would have been quite the performance.

It almost reminds me of my drive to Coldwater this morning, dumb people passing me in a whiteout, snow covered roads, zero visibility. There's no shortage of crazy people....unreal

I think there'll be considerable damage done when it's towed out.

Hey npetersen, you took the words out of my mouth when I saw the picture first thing that came into my head was What an Idiot. People never learn especially after that warm spell, it just started to get cold again give the ice time to freeze properly.

I had to laugh...... But yah that really does suck.

Little to early for the big toys on the ice.
