Good luck Rap and hope hwy conditions we’ll be better for your upcoming trip, we had a hell time coming back, all the way home, roads were just pure ice with zero maintenance, cars and trucks in the ditches every few miles, I know it’s winter but never seen 11 in such bad shape!
thanks sidehook, we will be leaving early thursday morning and we will be in no rush to get up there, safety first on the roads as well as on the water. this will be my 20th anniversary doing this trip and we have seen all kinds of weather over the years making this trip but nothing like what you just described.

Talked to Shawn today and he did say the cold weather has slowed the fishing down a bit but I am sure we can turn that around when we get there. You might want to check with Shawn, he told me today to meet him at Idle Tyme not Bear Creek as they could not get out from there.

I sent them an email last night and they only replied that they would get back to me tonight. So if I don't hear from them via email tonight I will call him tomorrow during the day. I am so very siked and can't hardly wait. Sorry to hear the bad news of the bite slowing down especially after hearing how great it has been for the last 2 weeks or so. But we'll make do with what ever the fish gods choose for us and have a great "TYME" anyways.

The fishing can't be any worse than last year for me so I'm good! Hahahah!!! I'm pretty much guaranteed a better time this year even if I only catch 1.

No worries Skunked Again, you'll catch this year for sure. It looks like the temperatures will end up being around the same as it was last year and we had a wicked time (except for the part where you were the only guy to get skunked). Using some of the helpful hints from this forum mixed with our own traditions and ways should result in success. Packing my stuff now as we leave tomorrow at 5AM. See you guys Friday morning. 1 MORE SLEEP, BUT WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO SLEEP.
