ice update for around snake island

hi guys hoping some one would have an ice report for around snake in fox island we r headin up that way saturday with steves fish huts hopin to be put on whitfish grounds by then what r the odds.....thanx in advance

How far is the walk out to the whitey grounds around snake/fox?
I know that a friend of mine did it years ago, but I can't ask him because he past on.
Is it roughly 1km, 2km, 3km, 4km, or more???

Steve fish huts I thought runs off hadden and along georgina not snake. And where I go is past snake and fox to around the pressure crack. Thats one heck of a walk.

acordding to a map there is a channel that is inbetween the islands and on the other side of snake.ive never fished in this location b4 so i would take a guess of 4 km to other side of snake....but ive been known to b wrong....lol

I believe Steve's run's out of Holmes Pt Rd; thats east of Duclos Pt. almost to the Pefferlaw river.

This friend of mine was by no means an athlete, but he would go somewhere out there near snake/fox every Wednesday on his day off.......

Kind of frustrated that I don't have my sled and truck any longer. That made it so easy to get out to the NW side of Georgina Island onto trout/whities.

Last year I went to K-bay many times, and it was not worth the trips. Hoping to not have to go there again this year.

So it was you I used to see by my hut Washout. LOL I like to go about 6 km from that area but Have lots of waypoint s. There is a channel between the islands but I have never had too much luck. So I move to where they cooperate.
