Long Point Bay, Ice Fishing

Smolt Trout Group: Newbies Posts: 188 Member No.: 2389 Joined: December 30, 2012	I got this info from a hut operator in Long Point. Looks like ice fishing in is in our near future! We expect to be on the ice by the middle of next week. We will post the ice conditions starting Wednesday or Thursday. Getting hungry just thinking of a Perch fry.

Smolt Trout Group: Newbies Posts: 188 Member No.: 2389 Joined: December 30, 2012	4.5" to 6" of ice. Huts are going out this weekend. I believe this is by the old cut. Don't know about St Williams.

Smolt Trout Group: Newbies Posts: 188 Member No.: 2389 Joined: December 30, 2012	FSHN FRK, I don't personally know the Operators out of Long Point. I have one of them on my Facebook page. That's where he posted the ice conditions. I also have his web site where he posts conditions and news for the area, such as upcoming fishing derbies. I believe there are at least two other operators as well. I haven't checked out their sites yet.

Trophy Trout Group: Members Posts: 995 Member No.: 766 Joined: August 11, 2011	Jimmy ventured out on the ice today. Boy was he happy when he got back! He walked out 3/4 of a mile drilled 4 holes along the way. The least amount of ice he saw was just out the channel 4 1/2 inches. The other three were all at the 6 inch mark. The ice is nice and clear, great news for the season ahead! We will be putting huts out for the weekend!
