I have had my x-67 for about 6 years now. Great unit however in the last couple of years it's been acting up on me. Case in point, i was out on kemp today in 120 fow, the unit showed proper depth for a while then started to give me reading of 267ft then 2ft then 45ft then it would go back to normal for a bit then go wonky again. The depth bar at the side of the screen showed the correct depth but the main number at the top left was all over the place. This went on all day. Wondering if there might be moisture getting into the transducer cable or the transducer itself. Has anyone had these problems with an older unit that might be able to give me a better idea on what it is. I was never that close to other fishermen today. I always tried to stay 30 or 40 meters away from the nearest guy so to avoid signal interference.

Replies grateful

Thanks

Ribar

im not sure what exactly the problem is, but i learned how to do a factory reset and diagnostic mode the other day (by accident) i had turned it on with both the up and down arrows held in and it went into diag.mode. i turned it off and then back on and was back to factory settings??? YOU WILL LOSE ALL STORED INFO AND SETTINGS but may work?

This has happened only once for me. I shut it off and turned it back on. No problem.

X3 on the on/off (reboot) of the unit.. That seems to fix most computer glitches.. LOL.. Yes, I have observed this behaviour, there seems to be an electronic glitch where the unit loses it's lock with the transducer. Also try moving the transducer down or giving it a little bounce. That sometimes gets it to lock with the unit again..
