ATV electrical problem, won't start

i had that same problem and the terminals were just loose making it jump which was making the clicking sound. i guess you would have noticed if they were loose though just my 2cents

Once again thanx for your suggestions. Right now the bike is starting properly after a long slow trickle charge.

tonyjohn Good comment, but no I haven't added any accessories
Tom Fisher I might trade for something else especially if it has a pull start to avoid these kind of problems.

I posted elsewhere as well & 1 guy suggested it might be a situation whereby the battery is boiling & that's how I lost water last fall. Check the voltage regulator

Once again thanx for your input. I fully charged the battery with a "battery tender plus', checked the voltage with meter, getting a reading of 12.3 volts. Is this a concern? If I should need to add water in the future, is bottled water OK? Unfortunately I used a SMALL amount of tap water. Just asking, maybe save the price of a new battery. But when I consider the consequences of being stuck on the lake a new battery is cheap insurance.

distilled water for the battery,you also have a alternator,or genorator the keeps the battery charged,,you may want to check the conections their for corrosion,,use a meter and check voltage at connection,,should have battery voltage,corrosion will drain your battery,cause the bike gets wet or coverd in snow,,it gets a lot of mositure around it,i always clean the bike up after each outting on the lake,if it gets coverd in snow or slush...

Yep ! I am Happy with my Honda Foreman. Just put a 3 inch lift kit on mine . Only issue I had was that it was too low !

With the 3 inch lift kit it now sits from the foot pegs to the floor 14 inches of clearance . It also has Thumb and hand warmers Hi & Low , Electric and Pull Start.


Best invest I ever made for the outdoor's. I grew up on sled's as a kid . Way to much money and maintained for the winters were having down south here.....
