Didn't take to long to long to find them . Was a very very light bite . I find the set up for them is in a hut sight seeing them and tip ups with minnows . Reversing the tip up also helps !! 20 fow just of a shoal . Some rock structure . Water was a bite cloudy today . Couldn't see bottom ...

As for the pike . They were caught in a back lake where there is also walleye . Lost 2 walleye . Only pikes were landed !!! Lots of ice on the back lake . Around foot and half ! Never seen ice like that in a long time .

Nice Fish Dan.
Glad you found the jumbos, it's been a little tough this year.
I agree the bigger perch seem to be biting very light, no different than a dink nibbling..
Cheers,
Jerry

Hey Fishsniffer did you catch your limit or limit your catch? FYI even on a conservation license your allowed 25 each. Anyway great catch.

I counted my Limit as Jumbo Perch being 13''-15'' Smaller ones were in the 10''-11'' Range. 25 Each ... We Both have sport fishing license . 25 each was more then enough for us. We will consume these for this week and be back for more this upcoming weekend . We did mange to catch around the 100 mark each for jumbos ....

Too much cleaning for my liking . Find jumbo's that size are more than enough !

I cut the fillets into smaller chips for the fry pan . A lot less cleaning and thicker chunks of meat on the bigger ones.

nice catch of big perch but I think you need a better ruler if your saying you only kept 13-15 inchers for your limit as your pictures aren't of perch that big.good job though and some fine eating.we hope to catch perch like you got when we come up feb.6.

x2 seems the numbers are all over the place. Took home 40 but kept 25 each? All well at least we know about 3 for sure. No disrespected intended just a bit of ribbing.

Long range winds and temp look ok, but would get her into pop-up for sure.

First time out is about comfort as well as fish
