Fish Attractant

Does anyone use fish attractant on their bait or lure?
Do you find it makes a difference?

If so, do you prefer the store bought brands or do you use a homemade recipe (anise oil, cod oil, garlic...)?

Just wondering if it's something worth trying.

I always add some stink to my jigging lure, been doing it forever not sure if it works but it can't hurt
