ice fishing beaverton, tim hales

hey guys,
i am heading out to beaverton on sunday to head out with tim hales i was just wondering if anyones been out of beaverton or tim hales this season, how the bite is and whats been working best
all replies are much appreciated!

We're putting our hut on perch waters Saturday. I'll post info when we get back. Tim is a good hut operator went out with him in 2010. Great day. We caught lots of jumbos. He lets you know whats working good.

Looks like there will be a few of us out there this weekend.

Tim is a great guy and one of the best operators on the lake. When perch fishing I either use a slab grabber or a teardrop tipped with a minnow. Others use small spoons...

i will be trying my slab grabbers on sunday i just picked a few up never used them before but have heard nothing but good things what size do you usually use?

Tim and Floyd hales are great. I went out with them also in 2010 and likewise caught a lot of jumbos.

Got our hut out not far from Tim hales huts. Water was kind of murky (by lake Simcoe standards). Fishing wasn't that great but it's still nice to get out. Heading up to Dorset today for our Laker fix.

you can try slabgrabbers but we feel in the deep water they are more of an attractor then catcher.they flutter way outside your hole and are tougher to fish then a forage minnow or rapala.in shallow water especially where you can watch it they do well.

Been out with hales twice once for lakers once for perch got skunkedon the weekend laker trip and nothing but twenty or so dinks on the perch trip ,i most definately won,t b back .Just my experience with Hales

we've been going with him for three years and always have done well on the perch and also he will let you try other huts.not saying your going to get them every time but he treats us well.that is tim hales never been out with Floyd.also I take my auger just in case its slow and get out and look for them only had too one day so far though.

I have to speak up on Tim Hales operation !
We have gone with Tim for many years,He runs a clean ,smooth operation and will do his best to help you get into fish . The huts are clean,bait and ride included at a competitive price...

As far as catching fish...As normal first and last ice provide the best fishing.....We have been out with Tim b4 the 50 limit and if we choose we could have filled the cooler with perch ..including many of the so called "Jumbos" With the odd whitie and a few monster walleye,most times out we limited out on lakers and whities when in his deeper huts...

Had to put in my word as Tim among others has a great operation and if our present economy was brighter we would be up twice a week with him....

I agree tim hales is one of the best on simcoe.we have been with many hut operators and he has been the best at putting you on fish and treating us great.i will say though only had trouble with one hut operator in all the years I've been there and he just sold his business.these guys want you to keep coming back and do everything to make you want too.

Everyone has their favourites and the hales have a very good reputation.

The fact that on 1 outing did not produce fish is now way to gauge an operation.

maybe .several other factors came into play that day.....fish turn on and off.

early season vs late season.

experience in angling etc.

I I could afford it I would move up there for the winter and fish my heart and soul out.....
