hey guys has anyone been out on Simcoe today fishing I was just wondering how much ice their is off of line 7 of or I am planning to go out in a bit if their is over 5 inches. cheers Zander

went out today around that general area... anywhere between 4-7 inches of black ice. Little slushy on top when I left but in great shape still. seen some sleds rippin er around as well. Fishin was good brought a couple more whiteys home for the table tonight! This weather will not affect the ice just take the top layer of snow of the ice and refreeze it Thursday when temps lower again.

I agree with open hole, the rain will melt the snow on top and everything will freeze up by, or on, the weekend. A couple more inches of ice and we should be good to go anywhere
