ATV electrical problem, won't start

I have a new 2012 Polaris 500 HO with only 30 hours on it. Went to Beaverton Friday it wouldn't start. Just turn over 1 or 2 X, then click, click, click. I boosted it, let it run for 20 minutes, ran out on the ice 15 min, let it idle for another 20 min while we fished. Total running time approximately 1 hour. I feel it would have been charged back up, so I turned it off. Went to start it later. Wouldn't start, just clicking noise again. Asked 1 of Floyd Hales guys to tow me in. I was going to remove the battery from my van to take out as a booster so we could continue fishing. Too many parts to remove to get the battery out so I decided to purchase another battery to have with me for emergency situations. Sad part is I have a brand new, fully charged deep cycle at home in my garage. So I buy a battery, go back to the lake, boost my bike head back fishing. This time the bike has only run 15 minutes or so. I shut it off, continue fishing, go to start it about 1.5 hours later, vroom, vroom, no boosting, no problems . I'm good to go. So it's an intermittent problem. Perhaps my ATV battery wasn't fully charged when I left my house due to the fact I haven't run my bike very much at all. Or perhaps a moisture problem, cause I have a heated garage, took it out into -21 C temps, combined with a serious wind chill while trailering it on an open trailer. Any thoughts from the mechanical guys is much appreciated. Thanx

Thanx Dinky, I expected that. Now can u help out or not?? HA HA Gotta get this thing going before Tuesday. I think it's low battery. My charger shows a solid red light until up to 80% charged. After 80% the green light flashes. It will flash on & off for about 3 hours before it becomes fully charged. At full charge the green light stays on. So yesterday it did flash green for about 4 hrs before turning on continuous green. I'm now charging up the spare battery I bought as it was not fully charged from the store. Freezing rain coming Monday!!

Do you have a fuel switch? Sometimes it gets turned the wrong way. Another possibility could be you hit the "Kill switch" ? Starter problem? Short circuit near the battery connectors?
Your bike should still be under warranty, so take it in.

Bubba Warranty is only 6 months. I picked it up Jan12/12. I'm sure it was low battery due to sitting idle for an extended period of time. I have now fully charged the battery & when I turn the key it goes vroom, vroom. No boost. So now I have the atv battery, a new fully charged auto battery for boosting that will be with me at all times. Here's the killer!! I also have a brand new "battery eliminator". Where? At home in my garage at the time?? Me BAD

its from adding that water. you need a new battery asap or you are gunna get caught again in the cold!! my truck battery is the the same right now.............

Your Bike will not charge a Battery at Idle,It Needs A Higher RPM To increase voltage. After running the bike for an hour or so out on the lake it might start. It was a smart idea to charge the Battery to full charge. If you have a 12dc volt tester, Connect to battery and check reading. It should be between 12.9v to 13.8v, Anything higher or lower you have a regulator problem. Does not matter about Warranty, I would take it back to dealer and park it back in the showroom until it was fixed for NO CHARGE. Thats just my Opinion

Have you added any extras to the bike that may be drawing current while it is off, that may be another place to look as well!
But a new battery is the right way to go, if it does it again then take it back to the dealer for a diagnosis.

Should have spent the extra 15% and bought a honda.
